KEY WEST, FL. (February 2, 2026) Congratulations and thank you to Local 1526, International Longshoremen’s Association out of Port Everglades, Florida on hosting the Second Annual Southeast Florida Golf Classic that helped raised thousands for their local scholarship fund. Kudos to Local 1526 President Johnnie Dixon, Secretary-Treasurer Anthony Gross and the officers and members of ILA Local 1526 for welcoming the ILA family to this special event. ILA President delivered remarks at the closing Awards ceremony and praised Local 1526 for their dedication to protecting its membership and offering scholarships to members’ dependents. ILA Executive Vice President Dennis A. Daggett spoke about the strong leadership Johnie Dixon provided to the local, especially standing strong and firm during the October 2024 three-day. Both International Leaders noted that the annual Southeast Florida Classic promoted fellowship and solidarity among ILA Locals on the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts.
