Daggett, a labor leader known throughout ports around the world, spoke about the on-going struggle dockworkers face against automation, wages, job security and working conditions.
On the home front at ILA ports Dennis Daggett spoke about contract negotiations and all the research and work ILA officers did in preparation for a new master contract.
He also spoke about how the ILA frontline heroes worked throughout the pandemic and kept the worlds commerce moving non stop, 24/7.
“WE SHOWED THE WORLD HOW IMPORTANT THE WORK WE DO IS!”, REMARKED DAGGETT AS THE CROWD JUMPED UP OUT OF THEIR SEATS FOR A STANDING OVATION!!
Daggett concluded his amazing speech, which received loud applause and several standing ovations, by recognizing and honoring all dockworker unions that traveled from around the world to be at this ILA Convention!!
