ILA’s Civil, Human & Women’s Rights Committee To Hold Annual Meeting In New Jersey Saturday, November 2, 2024; Evening Awards Dinner At EnVue To Honor Four Industry Leaders and Feature Addresses From ILA President Harold J. Daggett and Executive Vice President Dennis A. Daggett
NORTH BERGEN, NJ (November 1, 2024) The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) Civil, Human, and Women’s Rights Committee will hold their annual meeting on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 12 noon at the EnVue Marriott Hotel in Weehawken, New Jersey and will later honor four industry leaders at their annual awards dinner.
Herbert Hall, Sr., the chairman of the ILA’s Civil, Human and Women’s Rights Committee reports the annual awards dinner Saturday night will be a rousing success with a record attendance and featuring remarks by International President Harold J. Daggett and Executive Vice President Dennis A. Daggett. The committee will honor its Chairman, Herbert Hall with the “Martin Luther King, Jr. Award”; Vincent Cameron with” Labor Leader Award”; Lovette McGill with the “Women’s Rights Award” and John Atkins with the “William Bernard Dudley Humanitarian Award.”
“I want to thank my committee for the wonderful job they did putting this day together,” said Chairman Herbert Hall. “We are looking forward to holding serious discussions at our committee’s meeting at Noon and then celebrate later at our annual dinner.”
The ILA’s Civil, Human, and Women’s Rights Committee is headed by Herbert Hall as its chairman. Rodney Owens is Vice Chairman; Yvette Flowers serves as Recording Secretary and Billie Jean Easley is Secretary-Treasurer. Committee members include Anthony Arrufat; Michael Baker; Mary Gima; Kenneth L. Gray; Herbert Hall, Jr.; Jacqueline Hill-Murphy; Stephen Knott; Patrick Murphy; Alan A. Robb and Gregory Washington.
