I want to thank our 85,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association as workers everywhere celebrate Our National Holiday: Labor Day!
I am so proud of every member of the International Longshoremen’s Association – America’s Front-Line Heroes!
The power of Maritime Organized Labor was on display at our July 2023 International Convention in Hollywood, Florida, when Dockworker Unions from around the Globe joined with the ILA in pledging solidarity and support to fight all enemies who look to take our jobs and our livelihoods from us. Whether it is the threat of automation; over-reaching government regulations; or other so called “unions” infringing on our jurisdiction, the ILA is committed to commit the needed resources to combat our enemies.
I thank the rank-and-file membership for their support in electing me to a fourth term as your International President. Our best days are ahead of us, and we are prepared to enter negotiations on a new Master Contract with United States Maritime Alliance.
Labor Day 2023 provides a fitting time for all ILA members to reaffirm our support for our great International Longshoremen’s Association. We are more united and stronger than at any time in our 132-year history.
