For Eighth Consecutive Christmas, ILA in Port of Hampton Roads, Virginia Brings Holiday Joy to 154 Underprivileged Children with Donations of Bicycles and Helmets
SEASON OF SHARING AND CARING – (December 16, 2021) ILA Longshore Workers, joined by Hampton Roads Shipping Association and Virginia International Terminals, took on the role as magical Secret Santas when they donated 154 bicycles and helmets for underprivileged children at six schools in Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
It was the eighth annual “Make a Kid Smile For Christmas” Bike Drive and this year, the shiny new bicycles were distributed 10 days before Christmas.
ILA Local 970 members Tonia Teel and Steve Mobley coordinated this wonderful gift-giving efforts.
