NORTH BERGEN, NJ – (April 14, 2026) The Rank-And-File members of the International Longshoremen’s Association are demonstrating amazing generosity in their support of the May 12th USMX-ILA Children’s Fund Gala that is raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Please be advised that the purchase of any tickets or journal advertisements for the ILA-USMX Gala Dinner on May 12, 2026, are voluntary charitable contributions. ILA members are under no obligation to purchase unless they want to do so. Proceeds from the gala will benefit the ILA-USMX Children’s Fund, Inc., a non-profit charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. And the Children’s Fund will forward all proceeds after costs from the dinner to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened its hospital doors in Memphis, Tennessee in 1962, and has helped push the survival rate for children with cancer from 20 percent to more than 80 percent in 2026. Families of children with cancer never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food to allow them to focus on helping their child live. St. Jude cares for some of the sickest children, regardless of their race, ethnicity, beliefs or ability to pay. Their patients receive the customized care to treat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, no matter what barriers they may face.
