GLOBAL DOCKWOREKRS HISTORIC “ANTI-AUTOMATION” LED BY INTERNATIONAL LONGSHOREMEN’S ASSOCIAITON PRESIDENT HAROLD DAGGETT CAPTURED IN POWERFUL VIDEO

Harold J. Daggett, International President of the International Longshoremen’s Association brought over 1 thousand docker and maritime union members to Lisbon, Portugal in November 2025 for the inaugural “Anti-Automation Conference” declaring war on companies that looked to advance automation at the expanse of longshore and maritime jobs.   This 19-minute video captures the highlights of the summit that concluded with the signing of the “Lisbon Summit Resolution”  that codified maritime unions resolve to unite to fight job-killing automation on a global scale.
