ILWU Leader Willie Adams, In Letter to ILA President Harold Daggett, Pledges: “ILWU and all of It Members Stand With Our ILA Brothers and Sisters,” In Dispute With Maersk

NORTH BERGEN, NJ – (June 14, 2024) The President of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union sent a strongly worded letter of solidarity with the ILA, supporting their East and Gulf Coast counterparts in their negotiations with United States Maritime Alliance (USMX). Specifically, the ILWU noted the ILA helped USMX member companies make huge profits and “deserve commensurate wage and benefit increases without fear of gamesmanship by employers to eliminate jobs.”

Willie Adams, the ILWU Leaders, wrote to the Harold Daggett today telling him that “the ILA and its members will prevail in this fight.”

“Stay strong and resolute,” the ILWU President wrote. “The ILWU and all of its members stand with our ILA brothers and sisters.”
