Port Everglades Executive Director Jonathan Daniels Hosts ILA Delegation and Praises Local Union 1526 Helping South Florida Port Grow and Prosper
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – (August 5, 2021)
The leadership of the ILA International; Atlantic Coast District; South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District and ILA Local 1526 met with Jonathan T. Daniels, Chief Executive & Port Director at Port Everglades, along with other port executives this week at the Port’s Broward County headquarters, and received high praise for the union’s contribution helping the port grow and prosper and reigniting the passenger cruise trade devastated by the world-wide corona virus pandemic.
ILA President Harold Daggett received a commemorative crystal decanter from Port Director Daniels.
The ILA group that met with Port Everglades officials also included Alan Robb, President, South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District; Michael J. Vigneron, President, Atlantic Coast District; Johnny Dixon, President, ILA Local 1526; Jim McNamara, ILA Chief of Staff and Public Relations Director; Antony Gross, Recording Secretary, ILA Local 1526; Robert Fiore, ILA Safety Director; South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District Representatives J.W. Washington and Richard Nixon; International Safety Director Robert Fiore and International Executive staff Maria Fong and Stephanie Pietraszkiewicz. In addition to Port Director Daniels, the Port Everglades representatives at the meeting included Glenn A. Wilshire, Deputy Port Director; and Peg Buchan, Assistant Port Director and Chief of Staff.
