Longshoremen hit the streets as ILA members strike for better wages and the right to collective bargaining.
Many strikes went on for weeks and even months. During this time our ILA brothers had no money coming in for their families. Nevertheless, they stood strong.
The incredible sacrifices that were made by the generations of longshoremen that came before us built our great union into what it is today.
