To My ILA Members and Their Families:
On behalf of my fellow ILA officers, I want to wish you and your family and Blessed and Peaceful Easter.
For many of our ILA members, Easter represents the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and our birth into Eternal Life. For all, it is the season of renewal and hope for a bright future. For the past 14 months, our ILA members, along with our nation and the world have experienced a crucifixion in the form of a deadly COVID-19, that has taken the lives of so many of our loved ones. We are encouraged by the hope that the Covid-19 Vaccines will allow us to begin to return to some normalcy. This Tuesday, I hope to join New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy as hundreds of ILA members will receive the Vaccine right at a designated area at Port Newark, New Jersey.
in the coming days and weeks, I hope the COVID-19 Vaccine becomes available to all ILA members and their families who desire to receive it. We continue to press all State Governors to make it available to ILA workers.
Throughout the challenge of this world-wide pandemic, ILA members have continued to demonstrate courage and dedication to keeping our nation’s cargo moving into and out of our ports. ILA Members continue to shine as America’s Front-Line Heroes.
May God continue to bless you and your family and may the spirit of Easter and Renewal touch us all.
