ILA Children’s Fund Moves 27th Annual Hole In Wall Gang Camp Fund Golf Outing To Thursday, July 9, 2020; ILA’s Major Charity Helps Connecticut Camp For Children With Cancer and Other Life-Threatening Illnesses

NORTH BERGEN, NJ (March 17, 2020) The ILA Children’s Fund 27th Annual Hole In Wall Gang Camp Fund Golf Outing has moved its annual tournament to Thursday, July 9, 2020 from its original date of May 18 ,2020. This action is in response to the uncertainty created by the national pandemic Coronavirus.

The International Longshoremen’s Association and United States Maritime Alliance have partnered for more than a quarter of a century raising funds for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, founded in 1988 by late actor Paul Newman. The camp opens its gates each summer to hundreds of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Thousands of other children with serious illnesses enjoy the Camp through dozens of other programs.

ILA and USMX have raised of $5 million for the Camp since the industry adopted it as its major charity in 1992.

“The ILA and USMX want to make sure that we continue to help fund the great work of the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp,” said ILA President Harold J. Daggett and USMX Chairman and CEO, David F. Adam. “Out of precaution and safety, we felt it best to move this year’s tournament to July. Hopefully, by then, all our lives will have returned to some normalcy.”
